I’m really picky about skincare but I finally found the perfect summer skincare regime for me. Summer is all about fresh, hydrated and glowing skin and these products help me achieve that perfectly.
Before I begin I want to say that everyone’s skin type is different so what works for me might not work for you. My skin type is oily but dehydrated, so you will see that I use a lot of hydrating products in my skincare routine, especially in the summer when my skin is prone to drying out from the sun.
I have a preference for natural and clean beauty products so you will see many natural brands here.
Derma-E Vitamin C Serum
This is a very good and affordable vitamin C serum, from an all-natural product line that I found at Whole Foods. Derma-E’s Vitamin C serum is 100% vegan and is filled with antioxidants. This formula is also hydrating as well. After a month and a half of regular use, my skin has become brighter and more glowy and my complexion is looking more even. I highly recommend this serum.
Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte Physical Sunscreen SPF 30
Vitamin C makes skin vulnerable to the sun so I wear sunscreen every single day to protect my skin from damaging UV rays. I prefer mineral sunscreen because it’s more natural than chemical sunscreen. Drunk Elephant’s Umbra Tinte sunscreen is one of the best mineral sunscreens out there. The product is fast-absorbing and blends into my skin perfectly, and it doesn’t leave a ghastly white cast that chemical sunscreens typically do. I love this product!
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Gel Creme
Vichy’s Aqualia Gel is made up of 97% natural ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and fortifying Vichy mineralizing water. The gel formula is perfect for oily skin types because it absorbs quickly, feels very light on the skin and doesn’t clog pores. I love this product and will continue to repurchase.
Thayers Rose Petal Facial Toner
I recently introduced toner into my skincare regime and this one was highly recommend by my aesthetician. Thayers Rose Petal Facial Toner is an affordable and gentle toner that you can find at the drug store. It contains all natural ingredients, such as rose water, witch hazel and aloe vera. It smells just like rose petals and feels amazing on my skin after cleansing. I’ve noticed a big reduction in redness after using it. It’s a wonderful product that I will continue to repurchase.
Grace & Stella Facial Rose Spray
I recently received this Facial Rose Spray in my summer FunFitFab box and I love how good it smells and how hydrating it is. It’s great to use as a makeup setting spray or as a skin refresher throughout the day. I like to carry it in my gym bag for a quick pick-me-up after a sweaty workout.
Origins Ginzing Eye Cream
Origin’s Ginzing Eye Cream is my tried and true eye cream that I’ve been using for over a year now. It contains caffeine which brightens and depuffs the underye area. I love the tingling sensation when I put it on, and it acts as the perfect base for concealer.
