There’s something so elegant about a feminine woman. When you spot one, it’s hard not to stare and appreciate how put together she looks. Dressing femininely is becoming a bit of a lost art because androgynous fashion has become so popular around the world. Now more than ever, casual and masculine looks are mainstream and dressing up is becoming less common.
Dressing more feminine isn’t hard to do but it does require you to put a little more effort in your appearance each day. Here are my five tips for elevating your look and dressing like the goddess you are.
Show off your curves
I’ve always believed that dressing feminine is important and that women shouldn’t hide their shape under loose or baggy clothes. After all, if you’ve got it, flaunt it! Instead of hiding yourself, wear flattering clothes that highlight your shape and showcase your feminine beauty. If you’re worried about looking provocative, don’t worry. You don’t need to show any flesh to show off your curves. Simply wear clothing that lightly drapes over your body.
Wear feminine accessories
A little bit of jewellery can take your look from bland to stunning. Accessories like earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets and a women’s watch can add a feminine touch to an outfit and complete the entire look. I love to wear dainty jewellery and have many earrings in my collection to suit any occasion. I love the way that a pair of dangling earrings frames the face, brings attention to the eyes and adds some sparkle.
Wear skirts and dresses
There’s nothing more feminine than a beautiful dress or skirt. If you want to look more feminine, don’t be shy about wearing them often. Women in hotter climates can wear them year-round. If you live in a colder climate like I do, you can pair them with tights for some added warmth in the cooler months.
Don’t be scared of high heels
Heels make the body look more aesthetically pleasing because they push up the bum, lengthen the legs and add a swagger to a woman’s walk. Never underestimate the transformative effect of a good pair of high heels. A woman should always have a pair of classic black heels in her closet.
Play around with colour
Play around with pastels and bright colours and don’t be afraid to add some colour to your outfit. Instead of wearing black and grey all the time, get out of your style comfort zone and experiment with feminine colours like red, rosy pink, powder blue, royal blue, purple, cream and burgundy. Even a little bit of colour can go a long way to elevating your look.
